Abstract
Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry transforms clinical practices, enhancing diagnostics, treatment planning, and operational efficiency. This article explores the role of AI in dental care, focusing on its applications, benefits, challenges, ethical considerations, and future innovations. A comprehensive review of recent literature highlights AI advancements in diagnostic imaging, robotic-assisted surgeries, tele-dentistry, and personalized treatment strategies. AI improves clinical decision-making, streamlines workflows, and enhances patient care through precision and customization. However, challenges such as high costs, ethical concerns, and legal accountability issues limit widespread adoption. Strategic investments in AI education, regulatory frameworks, and collaboration among stakeholders are essential for fully leveraging AI’s potential.
