Abstract

This paper presents a systematic measurement and analysis of power consumption in a battery-powered humanoid welcome robot. Due to the high-power demands of both the actuation system and high-performance computing components, the robot’s operating time can be limited. To address this issue, this study measures the power consumption of each component, analyzes major power loads, and collects real-world battery usage data under typical operating conditions. Based on this analysis, this study proposes a battery and power management strategy to ensure stable operation over extended periods. The findings of this study can serve as fundamental data for the design and energy-efficiency improvements of battery-powered humanoid welcome robots.
