Abstract
Additive manufacturing and robotics are the fastest-growing fields in this modern industrial arena. The focus of Industry 4.0 and other upcoming industrial revolutions focuses on faster product delivery without compromising product quality. This scenario is possible if and only when hybrid techniques should evolve. One such kind of technology is robotic additive manufacturing (RAM) that leads a path for the upcoming generation to work with the latest technological operations which unimaginable efficiency. The RAM process is getting more focus and attention owing to its feasible adaptability by the industry with minor modifications to the existing vicinity. So, it's starting to intrude into all industries by extending its wing for all applications. This chapter foresees robotic additive manufacturing in various aspects covering basic system steup to futuristic vision. The overall RAM process keeps upgrading its vision in multiple factors by aiding in large-area additive manufacturing, multi-degrees of freedom, tool path planning, optimization techniques, the latest technologies like AI and ML, deep learning for RAM, and specific applications. It also discusses the vision of future trends in resolving the research challenges in RAM.
