Abstract

The authors describe the application of cost-effective software safety to the motion control systems of two computer-controlled robots, one mobile and the other stationary. They discuss specific issues. The programming language analyzed is C, but the methodology is equally applicable to other computer languages or automated control systems using programmable controllers.
