Abstract
Hand gesture recognition is a domain of technology in robotics and human-computer interaction. It has applications in daily life activities. In this paper is presented a preliminary study of a system which could help a disabilities people to write a word on the computer using an intelligent glove. The mimic-gestural language of the deaf-mute can be translated into words using the computer and a glove equipped with accelerometric and resistive sensors. These sensors send information to a computer using an Arduino board. Data is processed using Python, an open-source development environment. The neural network is used for signs recognition using glove equipped with sensors.
