Abstract
This paper presents a novel method for generating mazes using L-systems on a toroidal topology. The approach utilizes the properties of the torus to create a closed loop maze structure, in contrast to traditional mazes which have a defined start and end point. The L-systems are used to generate a set of rules for the growth of the maze, providing a way to control the complexity and structure of the generated mazes. The method is evaluated by showing the results of generated mazes with our proposed approach with a high degree of complexity and a high level of connectivity. The results demonstrate the potential of using L-systems on a toroidal topology for procedural maze generation in various applications such as gaming and robotics.
