Abstract
The fifth industrial revolution, or Industry 5.0 (I5.0), is defined by the successful merging of digital technology with human inventiveness to increase the longevity of organizations. In this chapter, we will look at the fundamentals, drivers, and effects of I5.0, focusing on the importance of artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable production methods, and human-centred automation. Companies may improve operations and build closer customer relationships by using collaborative robots, powerful data analytics, and personalized customer experiences. This chapter also emphasizes how digital twins, better cybersecurity, and international cooperation will influence I5.0 in the future. This chapter offers significant insights into the revolutionary potential of I5.0 in advancing organizational sustainability and achieving sustainable development goals through a comprehensive study of existing trends and future directions.
