Abstract

Watcher is a 40 cm Classical Cassegrain robotic telescope located at Boyden Observatory, South Africa. In the period of operation from May 2006 to May 2008, 224 GRBs were detected by different gamma‐ray satellites. Watcher responded to 141 of these; 106 within 1 day of the GRB, 27 within 1 hour and 6 within 1 minute. A summary of results to date are presented, including the detailed sampling of the prompt lightcurve of GRB 060526 and the detection of bright flares from the galactic transient SWIFT J195509+261406 (aka GRB 070610).
