Abstract

Robot Systems for Residential Building Construction: Integration and Operation D. Spath, J. Schmidt, J. Andres Pages 185-197 (1997 Proceedings of the 14th ISARC, Pittsburgh, USA, ISSN 2413-5844) Abstract: The article deals with the operation of robot systems for the onsite construction of residential buildings and their integration in a semi-automated construction process. On one hand the integration and necessary work preparation tasks will be described for a mobile onsite masonry robot developed in the European project ROCCO (Robot Assembly System for Computer Integrated Construction) as well as the operation of the system itself. On the other hand a description of the operation of a conceptuated robot for interior finishing works will be given. Especially, the programming methods are focussed that the aim of a user-friendly application can be achieved and a medium range realisation is enabled.
