Abstract
The Multiple Cooperating Agents Project (MCAP) at East Stroudsburg University will be described. MCAP is an ongoing set of experiments in Artificial Intelligence designed around a set of up to four cooperating robots. The tool manipulating robots operate in a world of workbenches, screws, nails, screwdrivers and hammers. Natural language, English, is used as the human interface. Research is underway in natural language recognition and generation, interaction of intelligent agents, modeling, planning and activity execution. System architecture will be discussed as well as the current status of those integrated subsystems making up the kernel. Implementation data and future plans also will be presented.
