Knowledge Based Process Planning In Robotized Assembly

Abstract

This paper describes the specific advantages of the knowledge-based approach for the assembly process planning. The assembly plan is elaborated off-line from the high level description of the final product to be achieved. Practical implementations and results, relative to the assembly of an electric signalling relay, are presented and discussed.
