Abstract
Humanoid robots nowadays are able to interact with humans in realtime environments. It is always desirable that robots should have similar capacity to humans for their auditory information processing and taking actions based on the same. With this concept, in this paper we proposed a nature inspired algorithm where recognition is done by using Artificial Neural Network and and the recognized word command is used to actuate the HOAP-2 Humanoid robot In this paper we demonstrate a prototype system to control a humanoid robot using speech. The prototype can be customized for different types of tasks depending upon the utility of the robot.
