Abstract

In the face of fires that occur in dangerous environments, intelligent fire-fighting robots can replace firefighters for fire-fighting work to effectively reduce casualties. In this paper, an intelligent fire-fighting robot is designed for the substation environment to perform autonomous navigation and autonomous fire extinguishing tasks. For the autonomous fire extinguishing task, a multi-modal detection algorithm is developed to identify the flame, and a simple water jet model is used to adjust the orientation of the water cannon. The paper introduces the design scheme of the robot from two aspects of hardware structure and software system, and verifies the fire extinguishing ability in actual experiments.
