Abstract
This paper describes an operation and motion control of cooperative robots in intelligent environment by a global vision system. The intelligent environment has some resources to recognize several events in it. Such environment consists of some kinds of agents to collect information about the events, process them, perform physical works and link all agents. In this paper, we have applied the robot soccer system to the intelligent environment. The robot soccer system is a proper application of the intelligent environment because it has a host computer, camera, RF module for networking, and some robots. On the other hand, image data obtained by CCD camera play a important role in intelligent environment. Using it, we can find locations and kinds of objects in the environment. Hence we made an experiment on the tracking of an moving object in the intelligent environment. These proposed methods are applied to the robot soccer system, named 'Crimson', which has participated in Robot WorldCup'98 in Paris.
