Abstract

In order to establish a method to generate humanoid robots motions with fertile emotions, the actions of a Bunraku puppet are measured and analyzed. Based on the motion axes of the Bunraku puppet, which represents primary part of motions, the emotional factors of the puppet's motion are represented in expansion and contraction of the puppet's motion time series. This method is applied to design new actions of the puppet in computer graphics.
