Abstract
Assistive robotic manipulators have long been recognized to have great potential to assist individuals with physical disabilities in a range of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). In 2013, the US Department of Veteran Affairs prescribed about 170 assistive robotic manipulators to veterans with disabilities to support their independent living.
