Abstract
The cutting room is currently the most highly automated part of the garment industry's manufacturing cycle. The next step, stripping the pieces from the cutting table and sorting them for assembly, is still highly labor intensive. At De Montfort University a robotic handling cell to perform the stripping operation has been developed and demonstrated.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
