Abstract

We produced a robot that can play the game "rock, paper, scissors". The robot and a person play the game facing each other. We developed an image processing system that is capable of recognizing the shape of a human hand. We also designed the robot to express feelings through its voice, body actions and facial expressions that varied depending on the outcome of the game.
