Abstract
The Associative memory system developed for robotic control by J. S. Albus is described. This is an analog extension, based on the physiologic knowledge of the cer ebellum, of the classical perceptron and possessing desir able generalization and classification properties. Only small amounts of storage are required, and adjustment of weights in learning is extremely efficient. Convergence of the one-dimensional Albus perceptron is already estab lished.
