Abstract

Led by the Japanese, industrial robots have been in use for some 20 years. While the level of development in industrial production is already well advanced, the service area is just now emerging as the future field application. The number of service robots currently in operation is small, but the number of people working in the service field shows a constant growth rate. Consequently, there is an enormous potential for the expansion of this sector.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
