Abstract

After observing the use of odor by insects for navigation and location, the authors have developed an odor marking and detection system for mobile robots. Such a system will provide the basis for investigating the use of odor markings as an aid to mobile robot navigation.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
