Overview
The Capsule Interface is an experience-sharing device that directly transmits internal bodily information—such as body movements and force—to other bodies like robots or avatars. It consists of muscle deformation sensors, speakers, and a display, installed on chairs or beds. Users sit or lie down and move slightly to control a remote body. No wearable devices or training are needed. Future plans include proprioceptive feedback and applications in education, entertainment, and healthcare.
Key features
- ▸Transmits body movements and force to robots or avatars
- ▸Non-worn design: no wearable devices, special controls, or training required
- ▸Uses optical measurement method (muscle deformation sensors) for force feedback
- ▸Integrated speakers and display
- ▸Installed on various chairs or beds for use
- ▸Real-time sharing of force feedback along with visual and auditory cues
- ▸Minimally invasive interface less susceptible to electrical noise and sweat
