摘要
A BSTRACT Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have increasingly been incorporated into general dentistry, offering potential advancements in diagnostic accuracy, patient care, and communication. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to evaluate the effects of AI-driven technologies on patient satisfaction in general dentistry. Studies published between January 2010 and the present were included, focusing on AI applications such as diagnostic tools, virtual assistants, robotic systems, and teledentistry. Results: The meta-analysis included 1225 patients across seven studies, with 350 patients experiencing non-significant effects of AI technologies. The pooled effect size for patient satisfaction was 1.16 (95% CI: 1.11–1.22; Z = 41.75, P < 0.00001). Significant improvements were observed in diagnostic accuracy, procedural efficiency, patient trust, and communication, with reduced anxiety and increased convenience. Conclusion: AI-driven technologies demonstrated a significant positive impact on patient satisfaction in general dentistry. Enhanced diagnostic precision, personalized care, and effective communication were the key contributors to improved outcomes.
