摘要
Recent advancements in the domain of digital technologies have resulted in exponential progress in various specializations of dentistry including pediatric dentistry. Modern digital technologies can prospectively transform dentistry in the context of educational as well as clinical levels. Dental clinicians may employ these innovative digital technologies as useful tools in their clinical practice in different ways to deliver high-quality oral health care to patients. It is important that dentists should keep themselves updated or upgraded continuously in compliance with modern digital technological advancements, and thus, it can aid the dental clinician to improvise according to the need to manage the behavioral problems of contemporary pediatric patients of the current generation/era. The aim of the present review article was to extensively explore, appraise, and highlight the available literature in the context of novel digital modalities (artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, augmented reality, and robot-based modalities/techniques) for the management of anxiety and fear/phobia and uncooperative behavior in pediatric age group of patients.
