摘要

The movement of military vehicles and ground robotic complexes in the combat zone is carried out at the maximum possible speed for a given area. Most of the movements take place on broken asphalt and dirt roads damaged as a result of combat operations, and the enemy’s tactics, aimed at “cutting”, blocking, and fire control of the main routes along which our units are provided with the necessary resources, force military vehicles and ground robotic complexes to move off-road. For off-road movement, the equipment must have improved operational properties, the main property of which is cross-country ability. The cross-country ability of military vehicles also affects the performance of combat missions. This property determines the ability of military vehicles to move on roads and off-road, and in turn, affects the mobility of units and the effectiveness of combat operations. High cross-country ability of equipment allows you to quickly respond to changes that occur during the performance of combat missions, and can be decisive in a difficult combat situation. The article proposes to consider cross-country ability as a complex (complex) property that includes simpler properties – maneuverability and smoothness of the vehicle, since they affect the speed of overcoming a difficult section of the road. Cross-country ability indicators are the indicators of profile and support-coupling cross-country ability. Ensuring cross-country ability indicators is also important for ground robotic complexes. The article also analyzes technical solutions that allow to increase the cross-country ability of military equipment and can be used in the design of new models of military automotive equipment and ground robotic complexes.
