摘要

The article analyzes the effectiveness of integrating educational robotics into the educational process of general secondary education institutions in technology lessons in order to develop technical and engineering skills among students. In particular, the article considers the possibility of using robotics in technology lessons in the context of developing not only technical but also analytical, critical and creative skills of students with the possibility of implementing STEM education. The article discusses the benefits of robotics for increasing interest in STEM activities and motivation of students for STEM education, as well as potential challenges and strategies for overcoming them. The distinction between “physicists and lyricists” is becoming purely academic and does not effectively counter the multidirectional inclinations of students, especially in light of the development of communication tools, the Internet, and the use of modern information technologies in a wide range of cinematic, theatrical, television, sports, and other fields of activity. Following a theoretical review of scientific and methodological literature, we came to the conclusion that robotics is one of the most promising fields in the modern world, where technological advancements are drastically altering business and daily life. The introduction of robotics in general secondary education technology classes is an effective tool for project and technological activities using virtual opportunities to develop analogues of working robot models, prototyping, and modeling. This broadens their prospects for future professional growth by enabling students to gain practical skills that will be helpful in future STEAM activities in addition to improving their understanding of scientific and technological concepts.
