摘要

An entirely novel kind of technological advancement called soft robotics is intended to improve, train, or supplement motor functions. Soft materials, components, and active monolithic structures are employed in soft robotic systems, which have shown to have a substantial potential for application as prosthetics. It has the potential to overcome the drawbacks of large, bulky exoskeletal devices as wearable, soft technologies become more lightweight, compliant, and flexible. They are composed of monolithic structures, soft components, and components. These compliant devices are appropriate for several biomedical applications due to their physiological compatibility, range of motion, material compliance, and adaptability. The advancement of soft robotics has led to a large increase in the number of robots that can act as prosthetic limbs. By using specific planning and control methods, such as enhancing robotic navigation, collision recognition and avoidance, stiffness control, and force management, soft robotic systems can be integrated into daily life. In terms of materials, design, and system integration, soft robots with a biomimetic design encounter several difficulties. The focus of this chapter is on the state-of-the-art in soft robotics and its potential for 230the development of patient-tailored medical devices, improved convenience, biocompatibility for ongoing medical surveillance equipment when personalized medicine is integrated into the current system of healthcare, and the further development of soft robotic aspects and technologies, that will unquestionably be crucial in determining the future directions of robotics.
