摘要

Presents the approach taken by the UK National Advanced Robotics research Centre to develop advanced robotic systems. The generic advanced robotic functional architecture for hierarchical development of advanced robotic systems based on the use of world models is discussed. One implementation of this approach-applied to the development of an advanced mobile vehicle-is presented as an example.
