摘要
As the world enters Industry 5.0, universities must evolve as educators, innovators, and societal leaders. This chapter examines the impact of Industry 5.0 on higher education, emphasizing advanced technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and human-centric approaches. It highlights the integration of AI, robotics, and data analytics in research, teaching, and operations, stressing the need to bridge the digital divide, train faculty in emerging tools, and foster lifelong learning through microcredentials. The CDIO framework is revisited, aligning with Industry 5.0's ethical and interdisciplinary demands. University-industry partnerships are essential for aligning curricula, fostering innovation, and providing practical learning opportunities. The chapter underscores the role of universities in promoting sustainability, ethics, and community engagement to ensure technology serves societal well-being. Recommendations include adopting smart campus technologies, supporting entrepreneurship, and advocating for equitable, ethical, and technology-driven educational policies.
