摘要
The educational robot is now popular with the general public, as it plays a significant role in robotics programming classes at all levels of education. However, its shape, size, and function vary according to its intended usage. When employing mobile robots, such as an omnidirectional robot, with free directions in a limited space like a classroom, collision damage must be considered. This paper proposes designs of 360 degrees object detection using multiple static Time-of-Flight sensors that account for the position of objects before the robot collides with them and can operate on a small robot. The results demonstrate that the purposed Double Layer Design outperforms the Simple Design.
