摘要
• The haptic interface can provide surgeons with detailed tactile feedback, allowing for more precise manipulations, especially in complex and delicate areas of the oral and facial regions. • Haptic surgery enables minimally invasive procedures, reducing recovery time and lowering the risk of post-operative complications. • Haptic sensors could allow remote patient visits and build surgical intervention capabilities particularly, for those who do not have access to maxillofacial specialists. • Overcoming obstacles concerning cost, training, reliability, and scientific testing is necessary for the efficient implementation of this technology.
