This is the first book to address the 5.25, 8-, 12-, and 14-inch write-once and rewritable optical storage jukeboxes currently on the market. A chapter on each of the following firms is provided - NKK, Cygnet Systems, Ricoh, LMSI/Access, Filetek, OISE, Mitsubishi, Eastman-Kodak, Pioneer, Hitachi, FileNet, Integrated Automation and Sony - discussing each company's various jukebox hardware devices and software products. This information is based on interviews with systems integrators and end-users currently using a specific firm's jukebox line, and thus the book will appeal to both. Also included is a directory of firms, organizations and groups active in the technology.
