AI EDUCATION IN PRAGUE

摘要

The authors present a general description of the course offerings in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in two Czechoslovak universities: the Czech Technical University (Faculty of Electrical Engineering) and the Charles University of Prague (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics). In the case of the Czech Technical University, undergraduate courses in AI are offered by the Department of Control Engineering as a part of Technical Cybernetics. At the postgraduate level, students can specialize in AI, robotics, biocybernetics, and in other fields. In the case of Charles University, AI is offered at the undergraduate level as parts of the specializations offered in theoretical cybernetics and in teaching methods for mathematicians. Students in other disciplines receive basic training in cybernetics, including basic information about AI.
