摘要
Robotics is becoming one of the fastest emerging fields and adoption of robots in different segments has also increased in the last few years. Robots are more often used by people with minimal technical skills which makes it easy to use and flexible in different domains. With the increased use of personal and commercial robots, issues and challenges related to their security, crimes and investigation are also important to understand. This article discusses a survey conducted with the aim to understand three potential understandings of robotics in real world scenarios: 1) Consideration of Robotics in Real Life, 2) Adoption of Robotics in Real Life and 3) Security Concern of Robotics in Real Life. One of the major objectives of this survey was to understand how much awareness people have about robots related crimes, security and investigations. Total 225 respondents responded to the survey, out of which around 76 percent people have responded based on their perception as they have never interacted with robots. Detailed analysis of survey responses identifies possible areas of the field of robotics that are in the evolving stage and suggests the need for research in the security and investigation of robots in future.
