Future Tactile Internet: Issues, Challenges and Applications

摘要
Tactile Internet will provide haptic interactions and allow the transmission of a variety of talents through networks. The telemedical procedure, autonomous driving, extended reality, and modern cycle robotization are only a few examples of potential applications of the Tactile Internet. It will spawn diverse new technology for many applications, and will change the perspective of society due to emergence of the 5G and 6G communications, Internet of Things, and Edge Computing. This paper presents a discussion of the main aspects of the Tactile Internet and its future prospects. Moreover, it briefly explains Tactile Internet and its requirements. The paper also highlights communication and enabling technology to support the Tactile Internet. In addition, the applications empowered by the Tactile Internet are elaborated briefly.
