摘要

A robotic microwave digestion system for the dissolution of titanium dioxide samples prior to trace element determination is described. The system weighs out samples, adds acids, carries out microwave digestion, dilutes the solutions, transfers the solutions to beakers and cleans the digestion vessels. Sixty samples can be processed in approximately 16.5 h. The robotic microwave digestion system has operated reliably for over 6 months and the accuracy and reproducibility match those which can be achieved manually.
