摘要
Attitudes toward robots, in particular, negative attitudes are important factors influencing human perception and behaviors toward robots. The chapter surveys the existing studies using the Negative Attitudes toward Robots Scale for measuring these attitudes, and then reports a current study based on a social research, showing influences of experiences of robots, educational backgrounds, and generations into negative attitudes toward robots. In particular, the results of the survey suggested that experiences of humanoid robots decreased negative attitudes toward interaction with the robots. Finally, the chapter discusses the future direction of the research on negative attitudes toward robots.
