A low-backlash, maintenance-free worm gear unit for demanding applications in positioning or high-precision measuring tasks. The housing is encapsulated to prevent grease escape and dust ingress. Direction of rotation on the shaft is arbitrary. Features maintenance-free grease lubrication, aluminum anodized housing (zinc on request), reduction ratio 65:1 standard, backlash <0.05° at 0.1 Nm drive torque, duty cycle 10% at 5 min, lifetime 1,000 hours at full load and 100 rpm input.
