И. А. Филипова is a pioneering legal scholar whose research sits at the critical intersection of law, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital technologies. Her work fundamentally addresses one of the most pressing questions of our time: how should legal systems adapt to govern AI, robotics, and neurotechnologies? In her most cited paper, "Future of the Artificial Intelligence: Object of Law or Legal Personality?" (2023, 20 citations), she tackles the provocative debate over whether AI systems should be granted legal personhood, rationally assessing the implications for legal responsibility and rights. Her earlier foundational work, "Artificial intelligence, labour relations and law: influence and interaction" (2019, 6 citations), was among the first to systematically analyze how AI-driven automation is reshaping employment relationships and necessitating new labor law frameworks.
