Jerry Sanders is a pioneering aerospace engineer whose career has centered on one of the most transformative concepts in space exploration: in-situ propellant production (ISPP). His work addresses a fundamental challenge facing human missions beyond Earth — the prohibitive cost and mass burden of carrying all necessary propellants from our home planet. By developing technologies that extract and produce fuel directly from planetary resources, Sanders has helped lay the groundwork for sustainable human presence on both the Moon and Mars.
