F. Aharonian is a leading figure in high-energy astrophysics, renowned for pioneering work on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and very-high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray astronomy. His research focuses on the extreme physics of relativistic jets, the early universe, and the mechanisms driving cosmic explosions.
