About
Archana Battiwala is a biomedical innovator at the forefront of oral biologic drug delivery, with her work centering on the development of robotic pill technologies to transform the administration of large-molecule therapeutics. Her major contributions lie in demonstrating that a novel, orally administered robotic pill can reliably and safely deliver teriparatide—a human parathyroid hormone analog used to treat osteoporosis—with high bioavailability in human volunteers.
