Reach Alpha 5

The Reach Alpha 5 is a 5-function, lightweight, all-electric subsea robotic manipulator arm produced by Reach Robotics (Sydney, Australia, founded 2016). It is designed for portable and inspection-class ROVs, with a 2 kg lift capacity, 360 mm reach, and 300 MSW depth rating. The arm is operator-controlled via multiple input options (master arm, gamepad, command pods, API) and is used for subsea manipulation tasks such as door-handle actuation and light intervention work. The system is a teleoperated/remote-controlled manipulator — a human operator performs the manipulation tasks by driving the arm; it does not autonomously execute tasks on its own.
